March is Youth Art Month!

This is a great time of the year to start planning for spring and summer art activities and classes. Check out some of my favorite local resources for creative fun:

Some classes are no fee and others have scolarships and discounts for families. If you haven't found anything that tickles your creative drive above try a search through this site from Metro Parent Milwaukee a great tool for looking up many area camps, activities and courses!

Fun Fine Motoring with Fibers!
Fairview K-6th grade students are finishing up their third quarter projects with a focus on Fiber Arts. We have been busy with weaving and needlework and are now looking at a variety of Cuna Indian Molas in our art lessons for inspiration for the Wisconsin Humane Society's Be Kind To Animals Contests. Check out their site here: WI HUMANE SOCIETY to see last year's winners and for more information on entering your poster, poetry and photography.

Stay tuned for an update on the 7/8th grade Cartooning and Advanced Ceramic electives classes coming to this Blog soon!
